How to Measure Your Pupillary Distance(PD)?
Pupillary Distance (PD) is the measurement, in millimeters, between the centers of your pupils. This distance is essential for making eyeglasses, as it ensures that the optical center of each lens aligns perfectly with your line of sight.
Steps to measure your PD
Note: The average PD is between 54 and 78mm. Might be a bit different compared to practical measurements. Please measure your PD 2-3 times to ensure you get the accurate results.
STEP 1
Tand about an arm's length away from your friend or approximately 8 inches (20 cm) from a mirror if measuring by yourself. For best accuracy, take your PD measurement 2–3 times and use the average result.

STEP 2
Close your right eye and position the 0 mm mark directly over the center of your left pupil.

STEP 3
Close your left eye and read the measurement that lines up with the center of your right pupil. This number is your total PD.

STEP 4
You should also measure the distance from each pupil to the center of your nose to determine if you have two separate PDs—one for each eye (OD and OS).
